The "Participative Meetings" of the COA AlpHouse Center | First results
The technical “Participative Meetings” organised in the context of the AlpBC European project by the Valle d’Aosta AlpHouse Center COA energia are involving a large number of professionals working in the energy requalification of existing buildings.
The “Participative Meetings”, that focus on energy optimisation of the building-plant system, started in May with two workshops concerning the following topics: “How to undertake an energy audit of a building” (PM1) and “Identification, evaluation and resolution of thermal bridges” (PM2). The following workshops, held in June, presented “Plant systems for low energy consumption buildings” (PM3) and “Biomass plant systems and the integration of solar thermal” (PM4). Each technical meeting is presented by an expert that brings his skills and shares his experiences and provides several discussions among the professionals taking part in the PM regarding their experiences and problems encountered in the interventions.
As the graphic representation shows, the PM involved many professionals, especially architects, engineers and surveyors. The number of available places, limited in order to promote opportunities for dialogue and discussion among the participants, and the higher demand for enrolment have, in all the PM editions led to repeat the workshops in other dates. In total, the first four Participated Meetings have involved 204 professionals.
The satisfaction questionnaires showed the success of the initiative and the needs of the professionals that ask for more experiences of knowledge exchange, to deepen the technical and economic analysis of energy optimisation, and for tutorials and references to real cases.
Further meetings, the details of which will be published at a later date, will be organised before the end of the year.
AlpBC and AlpHouse are projects of the European Union (EU) in cooperation with the Working Group of Alpine Countries (ArgeAlp), lead by the Chamber of Trade and Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria (HWK)
